James Stoebner

Mr. Stoebner was my High School Biology, Anatomy and Physiology teacher whose classes were highly sought after. A stern disciplinarian, I can still remember him saying on the first day of class "There will not be a discipline problem in this class." There was no question who was in charge when he was teaching. This control allowed him to focus on his excellent teaching rather than distractions. This discipline translated into a keen enthusiasm for teaching and Mr. Stoebner made learning contagious. I was extremly fortunate to have such enthusiastic science teachers during my high school years. This prompted me and my brothers and sister to persue careers in science.
