Janeway lesion

Janeway lesions are small, hemorrhagic maculae present on the palms or soles. These lesions are non-tender unlike Osler nodes. The flat macular appearance also helps differentiate these lesions from Osler nodes. They are the result of septic emboli and may also appear as plaques. Janeway lesions are classically associated with infective endocarditis and constitute one of the minor Duke criteria.
